How do I identify original and fake Borbet rims? What are the pro and cons of replica rims?
So actually, I’ve decided to get my ride some new 15” Borbet A rims but I’ve noticed the matte Borbert was a little different from the ones I saw on Borbet’s website. Initially I wanted the matte black Borbet rims but the dealer introduced me to other Borbet rims with studs which I’ve never seen before. He told me they were new so I took a look of it and it was really good but I couldn’t identify if it was originals or knock offs. I did some research online and even questioned Borbet about the rims and they told me the ones with studs were plagiads.
To be honest, I love the Borbet with chrome dish with studs with black center (Picture in comment section) which is apparently the knock offs because it fits my car well. But the thing is I do not know the quality of these clone rims as compared to the fake Rota rims based on several articles I’ve read.
Well, what I’m confused now is that I do not know if the matte black Borbet rim is original or fake and I hope the community and Borbet owners would give input and suggestions on this matter. Thanks in advance and I would love to hear from you guys!

Chrome dish with studs “fake” Borbet A rims.
Side profile of the matte black Borbet A rims which seems authentic. Also, i do not know if the dish were resprayed. Hope to hear reviews and feedback from ex-knockoff rims owners about the quality of the clone rims!
More “fake” Borbet A rims…

I’ve seen this and I understand the quality of these fakes! Just that I do not know where they were made and what material quality of the fake Borbets are! Thanks anyway! :)
Note Sorry about the Rota statement, but I do know Rota is a pretty good brand which sells pretty cheap and maybe ‘quality’ rims. (Hope not to start a Rota debate here which is not related to the issue above hahaha).
