Dang right I’m gonna be f’ing every Prius on the street. 79’ Vette, l82 v8. I have 2.5 inch diameter shorties.

Open headers can damage the engine due to a lack of back pressure from the missing muffler

That is bull. Many people do open headers or straight pipe just fine

Pros: a bit more overall horsepower. more power in the high rpm range.
if you want to run a ridiculously high psi supercharger or turbocharger the open headers will allow you to move more air out of the exhaust with less back pressure
Very loud.
Cons: very loud. (Being very loud can be a pro or con depending on where you live and what you plan doing with the car).
Less power in the low rpm range.
You have to cover the open ends of the headers with cloths or something else after using the car to prevent cold air from entering the headers and traveling up to the exhaust valve. Hot valves+cold air+time=trouble. Probably will have a bit less torque.
