Someone Has Finally Crashed At The Yas Marina Circuit Pit Exit Tunnel
Six years after the Yas Marina Circuit opened in Abu Dhabi, Carlin GP2 driver Sean Gelael has become the first person to hit the barrier at the pit lane exit tunnel!
Ever since the track’s debut in 2009, motorsport fans have been waiting to see who would be the first driver to get the tricky pit lane exit at the Yas Marina Circuit - which features a tunnel - wrong. Now, we have an answer.
Carlin GP2 racer Sean Gelael locked up after his pit stop during the F1 feeder championship’s Saturday race and went straight on as he attempted to enter the tunnel, crashing into the wall and retiring.
It was clearly a new experience for the marshals stationed at the pit exit. One of them even started waving a red flag (which indicates the race being stopped) in panic but was quickly told off.

Track engineers.They should be forced to race their track designs prior to opening day, just so they know how bad they’re trolling drivers and spectators
