Japanese large SUV comparison - Toyota Land Cruiser (J200) vs Nissan Patrol (Y62) #blogpost

Hello guys! I’m back with some blogpost and today i’m gonna do little comparsion between newest generation Patrol Y62 and Land Cruiser J200 and tell my opinion. These cars have been for a while now and have been great strong cars and popular in Middle East, but wich one is better? Let’s go straight to.

Design

Compare to older generations these cars looks way diffrent. And of course this depends on your taste but they look good in my opinion. Toyota have few face lifted models wich you can see easily the differents but in Nissan i can’t tell. I like Land Cruiser’s Pre-facelift and first facelift models, but second facelift dosen’t get me on feel. So if you as me wich one looks better from outside? I would say Land Cruiser Pre-facelift model but if you ask wich one looks better with newest facelift… I would say maybe Patrol.

Interior/Luxury

This also depends on your taste. Patrol’s interior look more complete and respectful. Also the wood trims looks good with beige seats! Land Cruiser’s interior is well. It is dark depends on options but looks way diffrent than Patrol. Looks like it have plastic and i would see and wanted more of design of interious. But luxury. Both have good space and very comfort to seat and depends do you have Infiniti or Lexus. So if you ask me. I love Patrol’s interior.

Reability

Both are brilliant, but Land Cruiser wins. All i can say

Powertrain

Patrol offers only petrol engines. A 5.6 L VK56VD V8, 5.6 L VK56DE V8 and 4.0 L VQ40DE V6 with 5 and 7 speed automatics and 5 and 6 speed manual. You can also get Patrol NISMO wich uses 5.6 L V8 with 428HP! And if you want to know economy about this…. It is thirsty. F** thirsty.

But what about Land Cruiser? Well Land Cruiser offers 4.0 L 1GR-FE V6, 4.6 L 1UR-FE V8, 4.7 L 2UZ-FE V8, 5.7 L 3UR-FE V8 and 4.5 L 1VD-FTV V8 turbo diesel engines and transmission you can get 6-speed automatic, 8-speed automatic, 5-speed automatic and 5-speed manual. And about economy. It is thirsty, but way better than Patrol.

Can you afford them?

Well. You can guess too that fr these buys you need money a lot. They are thirsty with big engine and cars are expensive too. And depends do you want Lexus or Infiniti. And no wonder these cars are made more for USA and Middle East marketing wich they can afford. If i would buy money and i need to choose between these wich i would buy… I would go for Toyota Land Cruiser I like it more and i love the design.
