You've Never Seen A Chevrolet Caprice With This Many Mods Thrown At It

This once humble, ex-police Chevy Caprice has had thousands of dollars of mods thrown at it, with an LS3 V8 under the bonnet, completely reworked suspension and a host of modern creature comforts inside

At the request of a client with very specific needs, this humble, low-value Caprice has been given an incredibly thorough modernisation by a firm called Icon. We’re talking a 6.2-litre LS3 V8 under the bonnet, customs wheels designed to look stock, completely reworked suspension and creature comforts like Apple Car Play and Rolls Royce carpets.

The cost of the work must run into tens of thousands of dollars, all for a car which originally will have cost peanuts. But that’s what makes this project so fascinating, particularly as the car doesn’t even look like it’s had that much money spent on it. The stock ‘interceptor’ aesthetic has been retained, so it still flies under the radar.

What do you think of this curious beast?
