Win A Track-Spec Porsche 968 For Only £25 With SKIDZ Charity

The Porsche 968 is definitely a wise investment if owning a future classic is on your bucket list. Despite being launched way back in 1992 as the replacement for the entry level 944, good ones are advertised on the used car market from anywhere between £5,000 to 15 grand. Motor education charity, SKIDZ, is giving you the opportunity to get your hands on this Iris Blue 1994 model with the 240bhp 3.0 four cylinder petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox for potentially £25!

It's not broken, all the doors and wheels are attached and the only difference between this 968 and one that is on sale for several thousand pounds is that it has been set up for the track, with a roll cage in the back and Recaro bucket seats in the front. It has also just been serviced by Porsche themselves and the owner will receive a full condition report with the car. So, what's the catch?

Well you're going to have to battle it out between other lustful owners as this 968 is part of a raffle with tickets costing £25 each. 500 tickets will be available for your chance to win this particular Porsche 968 plus a half day Porsche Driving Experience with a professional at Silverstone. Even if you want the car changed back to the standard specification they will do it for you. That's nice.

So why are we advertising a raffle? Isn't that a bit anti-Car Throttle? Not at all, in fact there is a very good cause behind this. SKIDZ is a charity helping teens that have struggled in a conventional education get the skills they need to begin their careers in the automotive industry with workshops in Reading, High Wycombe and Hillingdon, UK. Since 1998 they have helped over 7,850 young people enroll on courses, gain apprenticeships and employment. The 968 was donated to the charity by its previous owner and every £1,000 raised from the raffle will support a young person's place with the programme for a year.
