What is the point of comparing all-season to sports (almost semi-slick) summer tires? Didn’t he say that it’s cheap vs normal tires? Should have compared vs premium all seasno tire.

If you’re going to do a comparison of cheap vs quality tires, you should use new sets of both tires with all the same tire sizes and they should be the same weather-type tires.
Sure, this method works but the gap probably would not have been as large were the tires new and the same rear width. I would have preferred a more accurate test showing the true values of new cheap vs quality tires.
