What It's Like To Drive A Modified Aston Martin DB4
This oh-so tastefully modified DB4 is the latest subject of The Smokin' Tire's soon-to-be-retired One Take series
On the face of it, the idea of a modified Aston Martin DB4 sounds like sacrilege of the highest order. But stick with us, as this example has been tastefully worked over, and it’s left us filled with unfeasible levels of want after watching its appearance in Matt Farah’s One Take series.
The original 3.6-litre straight-six has been bored out to 4.2 litres, and treated to bigger camshafts. The chassis has received a fettle too, via upgraded springs, anti-roll bars and bushes.
So it’s all about subtly enhancing this much-celebrated Aston, rather than doing anything drastic. And the results are stunning. We could listen to that noise all day.

Why is One Take stopping?
In one of his videos Matt Farah said he wants to try new things.

I actually had a ride in a DBR2 race car a few years ago, it was simply glorious yet so wonderfully rudimentary. This video strongly reminds me of it! I miss that car 💔
