Two stupid drivers - one in an SUV and another in a 4x4 - meet on the highway. What happens next is more predictable than an MX-5 hairdresser joke, but still extremely shocking to watch!

Well… I guess he failed the brake check?
The tailgater should not have tailgated. The car before him was going fast enough to justify being in the overtaking lane also he was being kinda nice to people on the on-ramp and left them space to merge into the road
I’d love to give him the highest of all high fives for that.
Don’t tailgate and this won’t happen to you. British driving instructors make you learn the following - 1) only a fool breaks the 2 second rule. Leave a 2 second gap between you and the next car. 2) if someone is very close behind you, tap the brake VERY lightly to activate the brake lights to let them know that they’re too close, and at the earliest convenience, allow them to overtake if they want to.
In this case, the car in front should have pressed the brake slightly, and if so did the right thing, but from this video I can’t see how hard he hit the brakes. If you hit it too much, you’re at fault because you’ve just potentially caused a pile-up. The car in front did move over the the right hand lane after the emerging car was safely in the lane, and that’s when the tailgater would have been able to overtake. But in this case, he wasn’t patient, and there were consequences because of it.
Drive safe people, don’t get too close. It isn’t a game.
And then he is like “okay I’m gonna move out of the passing lane now that my work is done”!
No matter what kind of tailgater is behind you… How he drives is non of your concern by the law you are not a police officer and cannot “teach manners” so no brake check you never know a reason why they are in hurry maybe hospital thing whatever. If someone is tailgating you let them go and you actually did a good deed… or speed up a little. And what are you doing in left lane when you are slow? :D
If you think that is tailgatting than you have never been to Germany.
Brake checking like a booosssssss
Just engine brake. It always seems to get them off your rear end or just rear end you.
