Watch This Van Get Involved With A Multi-Car Drift… And Fall Over
Vans generally don't make great drift machines, but this one wanted a piece of the action anyway. Unfortunately, things didn't quite go to plan...
There’s a reason most pro drifters don’t use vans. Despite the sight of a slab-sided workhorse skidding around a track being one of life’s great under-appreciated moments, they’re not usually very stable.
In fairness, this hilarious trip by a blue Mercedes Sprinter wasn’t actually its own driver’s fault. The car leading the multi-vehicle drift got it all wrong and spun, causing a bit of a pile-up. The van, third in line, hits the nose of the spun car and simply flops onto its side like a chubby seal who’s had a tough day.
The action, filmed and uploaded by Eunan Neddy, took place at the brilliantly-named Nuttscorner Raceway in Northern Ireland over the weekend. Let’s hope the valiant Sprinter is back in action soon.
