Watch Every Racing Driver's Worst Nightmare Come True From Inside This Fiery Cabin
It's the stuff of nightmares for a racing driver. You've crashed out of a race, your car is lying helplessly on its side, and petrol is flowing just inches from your face. You know what's coming next...
That's exactly what happened to dirt track driver Mike Stofflet while running in this Dirt Modified pre-feature heat at Mahoning Valley Speedway, Pennsylvania, all captured in this terrifying footage.
As marshals try their best to get the car back on its wheels, the whole cockpit bursts into flames with Stofflet still inside. Naturally, he gets the hell out of there, narrowly avoiding being burnt alive.
In heroic fashion, Stofflet brushed off the incident and raced again (after a few repairs) in the feature race later in the day, placing a commendable 5th. Bravo sir.
