Apparently unhappy about her boyfriend 'racing' bikers on Mexico's Cuernavaca highway, the passenger in this car decided to pull the handbrake, with catastrophic consequences
We’d initially thought the car was trying to swerve into the bikers, but we’ve since come across several other uploads of the video that claim the handbrake was pulled by a female passenger, who wasn’t happy about her boyfriend trying to race the bikes. The condition of the car’s occupants is unknown.

They were already sharing drinks from car to car as shown on several images on Social Media, so we presume they were DUI, and that’s a typical Jetta owner attitude, they feel like they are on a supercar.
We were not sure if the driver or the GF pulled the brake, at first we discussed on social media if he was just trying to scare the bikers by screeching the tyres, or if he felt like some kind of Region 4 Ken Block.
On the condition of the occupants unknown, car doesn’t look that bad…
Some people do stupid things spontaneously with even the slightest provocation. These people are commonly refered to as “idiots”. There is no world in which her reaction is justfied. Im not excusing the driver’s actions, if your passenger says not to race you shouldnt. But that doesnt make her any less at fault for the accident.
Agree. I don’t understand what those people think. Putting themselves and others at risk just for their own amusement or worse, to “try to teach the others a lesson” in the case of road rage. Those people shouldn’t be allowed to have a driver’s license. And a note for everyone… Be careful with who you date lol

wow i live in Cuernavaca that accident happened like 20 miles from where i live!, it was actually on the sane highway a bike flew out of his bike into the other lane after crashing with a barrier.
It’s very commun in that high way… i have seen a corvet flying over the barrier and crash into a BMW… that happen like 8 years ago… I also used to lived in Cuernavaca

The definition of absolute ret*rd. First, who in blazes tries to race in such a cramped road?! And second, you need a bit of a brain to know you MUST NOT engage the handbrake while the vehicle is in movement. Unless, you’re a professional driver who knows drifting of course.
