That Was A Koenigsegg...
Before high speed crash...
The crash happened in Mexico on the national highway in Nuevo Laredo while the car was its way to Monterrey.
Witnesses said it was speeding up the central reservation when it crashed, and performed several somersaults before coming to a stop.
Two men are in hospital with injuries. My Spanish isn’t so good but I’m going to guess they are pretty serious. Looking at that, it’s incredible that they survived.

Rest in piece #067. Nothing is sadder to us than a crash of such beautiful artwork and engineering. Takes an eternity to make, but one slip and its gone. The occupants of the vehicle should be glad to have been in such a safe car when it crashed… The last Koenigsegg that was written off was #059, which slammed into a tree whilst going 300km/h! The occupants of that Koenigsegg survived too. It really shows how amazing these cars really are, not just for the driver’s enjoyment, but safety too.
Hope the occupants of the CCX are safe and recover soon… Even though the same can’t be said for the car. Koenigsegg is very likely to mark the car beyond repair.
There have been three Koenigsegg crashes in the last year, and it has been a dreadful experience each time hearing about them.
The roads can be dangerous and unforgiving, so while having fun, you have to remember to stay on the safe side, and know where the limit is. Don’t push it.
What was the third crash? You mean the One:1 on the Nürburgring?
