Volvo Has Broken The World Speed Record With This 2400bhp Truck
Volvo already held the truck land speed record but went all-out with the 'Iron Knight'
Spitting out 2400bhp and 4400lb ft of torque, the 13-litre diesel Volvo truck has smashed the truck land speed record, claiming the title once held by a similar hybrid Volvo named ‘Mean Green’.
Running over a 1000m track, the Iron Knight has to run in each direction and then take an average of times clocked for each run. Watch as the Swedish truck annihilates the novelty world record, showing what the Swedes are really made of!

Correction it broke the land speed Truck recorded, Truck being the key word there.
YEAH BUT HOW FAST CAN IT GO YOU DIDNT ANSWER THE QUESTION
Is anyone else annoyed when camera shot is being switched every 2 seconds, without a single nice long shoot of the truck run?
I wouldnt call that a speed record, more like a fast drag time.
Roadkill posted this a few days ago and i think thats more in the class of a speed record

Still impressive, don’t you think?
1000kg lighter and 600hp more for just 0.4 sec ?
Much less aerodynamic with the flat front. If they plopped the more streamlined model’s body on it it would probably make up another half a second.
Imagine using it as a tow vehicle to get your racecar to the track
I’d be happy with 1/10th of that in my daily !
And then there’s me who is happy with my 216nm of torque :D
my best friend races bikes on this track every weekend and so this in the flesh!
I know it’s stale but…
Will it fit in my Honda?
