Aston have spent the last month showing off their AM310 concept at several events and it's a preview of what Aston's next V12 flagship may look like. It looks gorgeous as expected, with slightly more sharper lines, carbon fibre bits and look at those black and chrome alloys. At the time it was shown, several names were considered including DBS-R and even, I kid you not, Bulldog. Bulldog? The car isn't small, fat and ugly to my eyes.
But whilst we were all celebrating two days off work, err, I mean Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee at street parties across the UK, Aston had the brand new car in a transporter in the Midlands but it was left open for some reason. Fortunately, one of the good folk from Car Magazine seized the opportunity to record a close up of the new car using their mobile which you can see here.
It's just as good looking as the AM310 concept. It's only 9 seconds of video of the back end but we see a cool 'floating' rear spoiler, if you like, plus a nod to the million pound limited edition One-77 as it has similar boomerang rear lights. It's also hard to miss those large exhausts and the carbon fibre defuser.
The new Vanquish is expected to be revealed properly later this year with details such as price, equipment and numbers to be announced.
