Rallying. A sport that has been with us through many generations. The earliest example being in 1894 which was the Paris-Rouen Horesless Carriage Competition. Today, they are races that take place regardless of the pouring rain, freezing cold or a shortage of tarmac. Spectators used to even be able to test their metal by standing on track to get the perfect shot of their four-wheeled heroes before making for the nearest bush. Unfortunately, that relaxed attitude to health and safety is partly responsible for these 10 crashes and near misses.
