Tesla Model 3 Reservations Now At 325,000, Giving '$14 Billion' Future Sales

With CEO Elon Musk stating last week that Model 3 reservations had already hit 276,000 just a few days after the car’s reveal, it was already clear that Tesla had well and truly smashed it. A week on however, and the full extent of the car’s early success has been revealed.
In a statement, Tesla announced that it has taken 325,000 deposits thus far, which amounts to “$14 billion in implied future sales”. To further hammer home the achievement, the company said that the Model 3 represents the “single biggest one-week launch of any product ever”, also pointing out that it did this without any advertising whatsoever.
It’s all looking good so far, but we’ll have to wait and see if the car measures up. So far we know that prices in the USA start at $35,000 before incentives, and even the slowest model will do 0-60mph in around six seconds. Rear and four-wheel drive versions will be available, and the range will be 215 miles and up depending on which one you go for. It’ll go into production early next year.

Where can i find proof of these numbers.Because right now, they seem so made up they might as well be printed on actual bullsh*t
No wonder, reading that last paragraph makes it sound like a freakin steal of a deal. And I’ve never wanted an electric vehicle aside from the 918 lol
This scares me a lot as a petrolhead
Am I the only one who doesn’t see why electric cars and internal combustion cars cant coexist? Let’s just have both.
When will we see a good jap competitor???
I need good reliability and Tesla’s is disgusting!😠
And here is Mr. Musk proving that the automotive industry needs and welcomes breakthroughs. Slow clapping
I preordered one 2 minutes after it dropped. Hopefully the performance models won’t be too pricey!
It’ll take 4 years to fulfill a third of the orders at Tesla’s current pace with the Model X deliveries.
Hybrids are a nice touch too :) Even D-Hybrids.
