The Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Is Selling Even Better Than Expected

The future is looking good for the undeniably cool Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo, if order rates are anything to go by.
US buyers are choosing the “niche within a niche” wagon so often that the model now makes up 10 per cent of all Panamera orders – right at the upper edge of Porsche’s most hopeful estimate when the car was launched to the press.
The UK’s order books aren’t quite open yet, but Porsche GB has told us that a proportion of 10 per cent is about what they’re hoping for. With fast estates having a bit more of a history and following this side of the Pond, we’d expect Porsche not to be disappointed.
Deliveries of the unusual estate will start in the first quarter of 2018, and in the US it will be followed by the first Panamera with a conventional rear bench seat, in response to dealer feedback that customers were bypassing the brand in search of luxury five-seaters from rival car makers.
Automotive News quotes the Porsche Cars North America CEO, Klaus Zellmer, as saying he would be “very happy” if the Sport Turismo continued to sell at its current rate. In the US, the Panamera range is on course to sell around 6000 cars, suggesting a target of around 600 Sport Turismo deliveries for next year.

Fast wagons are selling well?
Come on Alfa, make that Giulia estate QV. We know you wanna…
Roads will look much better
I want this. When you know that it’s going to be cheaper than the GTC4 Lusso, even without knowing the price, desire is even stronger.
“Everyone loves a fast wagon”
Can deny.
Surely one of the best looking cars of this decade
They should just replace Panamera’s with this. I love Panamera’s but this is just better as a whole.
I’d definitely take one! If it means less SUVs on the road it can only be a good thing.
UK buyers be like: we’ll wait for a 2.0 diesel version
The back just sits a teensy bit high for my liking, I prefer the fastback to this and to add to that you get the spoiler too
Too bad most wagons are absolutely hideous compared to this one.
