This Modified McLaren 720S Is A Development Mule For A Three-Seater Hypercar

Given that there’s a dude sitting slap bang in the middle of it, it’s fairly easy to spot that this is no ordinary McLaren 720S. It’s a development mule for the incoming, three-seater ‘BP23’, and said ‘dude’ in the central driving seat is McLaren test driver Chris Goodwin.

The incoming hypercar is intended to be an homage to the McLaren F1, and will have the same seating arrangement that sees the centrally-mounted driver’s seat flanked by passenger seats set slightly further back.

In terms of technical details, we know precious little, only that it’ll be built around a significantly modified version of McLaren’s monocell carbonfibre tub. It’s also expected to be stupidly quick - Woking is saying it’ll be its fastest ever car when it arrives in 2019.
Just 106 will be made, mirroring the production number of the F1. The price? A mere £2 million a pop…

Better have a gold engine bay
For that 3rd chick in your car
I bet the most important test they need to carry out is to make sure it is easy to wipe the dust off the car when its sitting in a garage
Rowan Atkinson intesifies…
New F1, when? :D
They should make more of these mules and sell them as a “MHD” 720S.
I’ve got a feeling Shmee got a drive in some new McLaren. Because he got to drive the P1 and 720S in Scotland. To compare it to something.
I would like to see “regular” mclarens with central driving position
