This Mk2 VW Golf 'TFSI-R' Is 600bhp Of Hillclimb Anger
This Mk2 Golf Rallye is powered by a Mk5 GTI TFSI engine that's been cranked up to 600bhp
Hillclimbing has to be the most underrated motorsport. Not just because it involves driving brutally fast up tight, unforgiving roads, but also because of some of the cars used for the job.
We’re talking Lancia Delta Integrales. Monstrous Audi S2s. Even Lamborghini Gallardos.
Huge power outputs and massive wings are a common theme, and the car we’re looking at today ticks every hillclimb hero box going. It’s a Mk2 Golf Rallye with huge arches, some serious aero pieces and the 2.0-litre turbo engine from a Mk5 Golf GTI boosted all the way up to 600bhp.
Have a watch of the video above, and enjoy the fury.
