Mk2 Golf Perfection Includes ITBs, A 9000rpm Redline And A Sequential 'Box

With one hell of a spec list hiding under a relatively standard exterior, this car comes close to Mk2 VW Golf perfection

I’m not sure we’d call this Mk2 VW Golf a ‘sleeper’ - just look at that hilariously wide front track, for a kick-off. But the exterior, we reckon, doesn’t quite betray what’s going on underneath.

Under the bonnet, you’ll find a Mk3 Golf GTI engine with an individual throttle body conversion. It revs to 9000rpm, and puts its power to the front wheels via a sequential gearbox.

Hearing it smashing through gears at that sky-high rev ceiling is, perhaps predictably, a treat for the ears. This might be a good time to dig out a good pair of headphones.

Wow , that’s awesome ! This is the second feature car that i’ve seen in person ahahaah first was the ls3 powered 1- series ! This car races a lot in the southern italy slaloms and has won this year salerno croce di cava slalom , the front end is really wide and corners very fast ! Another cool thing of this golf is the fact that she has a well built dry sump , one of the first time i’ve seen this type of lubrication ! And the sound is incredible but if you ask me it’s a little too much ahaah

I think the rear grip balance might need to be addressed. there’s no doubt shed loads of grip upfront but when it comes to braking it’s hilarious!
Sounds awesome though!
