Trackside footage from a classic racers' event at Spa Francorchamps will brighten up your day
This is how racing cars are supposed to sound. The awesome Jaguar XJR-12 was in action recently at the Spa Classic event in Belgium. Even on a wet Spa track, the 7.0 litre V12 makes all the right noises, including some lovely pops and bangs on the downshifts.
With such a monstrous engine, the Jaguar XJR-12 produces upwards of 730bhp and a top speed of 229mph. Proper Top Trumps stats, those. Two XJR-12s smashed the 1990 24 Hours of Le Mans race with a 1-2 finish. An XJR-12 more recently also won the Le Mans Legend race. Watching this footage, we’re not surprised.
