Leaked Pics Of The Incredible New McLaren 650S Have Landed
Say hello to the McLaren 650S, the third car in the supercar brand's star lineup and big brother to the 12C. These leaked images of the new car - which were first seen on forum mclarenlife.com - give us a detailed look at the 12C-based 650S, a car which will be revealed officially at the Geneva motor show next month.
The 650S will sit between the Ferrari 458-rivalling 12C and the P1 hypercar in the McLaren range, though it'll be closer to the 12C than the P1 in terms of price and performance.
It'll receive McLaren's 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 tuned to 641bhp (the equivalent of 650PS), up from the 12C's 616bhp. The suspension, brakes and aerodynamics are all likely to have been given a thorough work over too. Think of this as McLaren's answer the the Ferrari 458 Speciale.
There's no word on price, but a figure of around £200,000 is expected. There have been some suggestions that this car is destined to replace the 12C, but nothing has been confirmed yet. We'll bring you the full details when we have them.
