Another motor show, another leak! This time it's Hyundai's turn to have the rug swept out from beneath its feet with a low-res shot of the upcoming Veloster N
This Leaked Pic Reveals The Hot New Hyundai Veloster N Coupe

Check out this leaked image of an upcoming N-badged version of the Hyundai Veloster, which could be revealed in full later today.

After the i30 N stormed onto the scene and started generating record levels of interest in the brand, the Korean brand is quickly following it up with a similarly-tweaked version of the oddball coupe. It should be light years better than the half-hearted Veloster Turbo, anyway.

We’ve seen disguised versions of test mules before, complete with easily fistable exhausts and a rear diffuser. It looks like the mean-looking tailgate spoiler will make production as well, in the company of a gaping mesh grille and subtly stunning red detailing beneath the Performance Blue paint.

While it’s all-but guaranteed that the Veloster N will use the same 2.0-litre turbo four-pot as the i30 N, rumour has it that it could be tweaked to produce slightly more muscle this time. The i30 N has a peak of 271bhp with the Performance Pack.

We’re hoping for more news on this later today. We’ll update this piece if we get it.

I just hope this one is actually just as fast as it seems unlike the Veloster Turbo

Honda should take some lessons from Hyundai on how hot hatch designs are supposed to look. This thing looks pretty good. Not too shouty, but also not afraid to show off a little. A hot hatch is not a supercar, and should not be designed to look like one. Hyundai understands that, Honda forgot about that, despite making hot hatches for decades.

The question is, however…

Is it fast?

I saw one of the disguised mules driving on the interstate the otherday! Good news, it can handle snow and ice!
