Jon Olsson's 1000hp DTM-Inspired RS6 Has Broken Cover And It's Utterly Brilliant

No one does winter beaters like Jon Olsson. The professional skiier naturally needs something capable of traversing the world’s snowiest regions and transporting his skis, but it also has to be rapid. Because why not? That’s why in the past he’s fitted a ski box to a Lamborghini Gallardo, Nissan GT-R, Audi R8 and RS6, and he’s even taken a bonkers Le Mans prototype to the slopes. Now his latest creation has broken cover, and it might just be the most badass wagon in history.

Olsson has stuck with the RS6, but now it has a ridiculously badass DTM-inspired wide bodykit on it, designed by Koenigsegg’s former chief engineer Leif Tufvesson. It’s been clad in Pagani-approved carbonfibre and wrapped in the Swede’s famous snow camo livery.

It’s not just aesthetic aggression though. The RS6 is already one of the quickest cars on the road - I maintain it is the only car I’ve yet driven that genuinely scared me under acceleration - but that hasn’t stopped Olsson giving it some extra poke.

The twin-turbos attached to the standard car’s 4.0-litre V8 have been replaced with some blingtastic 18-karat gold anodised TTE9XX turbos from The Turbo Engineers. They contribute to the Olsson-spec RS6’s whopping 950bhp power output - over 1000bhp on race fuel - which is nearly double the standard car’s 552bhp.

Stertman Motorsport’s crew are the ones who brought it all together into a usable package - “[I made] one request, make this thing as extreme as you can, but I still want to be able to drive this every day to the ski slopes,” says Olsson. Stertman achieved this by fitting custom Black Titan suspension from Intrax, a big brake kit from Movit, and a ‘super mega race exhaust kit’ from Miltek.

An Olsson car’s USP, though, is the ski box, and this one doesn’t disappoint. Created by 56Nord, it’s a carbonfibre slimline design that apparently “loads a million times more stuff than it looks!”

When you realise just how much work went into creating every little detail on this car, you can have nothing but huge respect for the outcome. Olsson promises there will be some ‘crazy videos’ in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled. It’ll be good, we guarantee it.
