The Z1 is a largely forgotten car in BMW's history, which is why we had to share this video of its incredible door opening sequence. As you can see, when you press a button on the rear three-quarter, the window and door neatly fold down into the sill. Forget your Lambo-style scissor doors, this is style.

The Z1 had a lot in common with the E30 3-series, using the car's platform and 2.5-litre straight-six. It developed about 168bhp, but with a reasonable amount of weight to haul around, it's no rocket ship. It is however very cool, and very rare. Just 8000 were made, making these things incredibly sought-after.
