Hyundai Equus Coupe Rendered

When the Hyundai Equus was shown last year, no one knew whether it would be coming to the US. Many speculated that it would remain a Korean-market only vehicle. But that's not the case

At the time, we mentioned Hyundai doing a coupe version of the model. The styling of the Equus would lend itself perfectly to a coupe, and it could be an inexpensive competitor to the Mercedes-Benz CL (now called the S-Class Coupe) and even the BMW 6-Series.

We weren't the only ones to think it is a good idea too, as witnessed by this rendering of what the car could look like.

The rendering was done by website This Week In Motors, saying such a car would be able to comfortable fit four people and their luggage. Sounds like a good proposition to us. We say do it, Hyundai.

There is no official word or anything on the possibility of a coupe model, as this is just purely conjecture for now. However, the way things have been going with Hyundai it definitely isn't out of the realm of possibility.

They did it with the Genesis, right? We'll have to see how things play out - if the Equus is successful on our shores, it increases the likelihood of a coupe model being introduced. For more images, check out This Week In Motors.
