Here's Your First Look At The New Volvo V90

Here is the new Volvo V90, the latest car in Volvo’s revamped model range. The Swedish manufacturer’s Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) underpins all its new cars, starting with the glorious XC90 and, more recently, the delightfully swoopy S90 saloon.

We’ve loved the Scandinavians’ new design language so far, which has taken the traditional Volvo values of sturdiness and modernised them into a more upmarket, luxurious appearance. This new V90 is a pretty big deal for Volvo, as its wagons have achieved cult status, and are the best selling cars in its homeland.

Design-wise, the front end clearly wears the new family face, with the ‘Thor’s Hammer’ headlights and a grille with the Volvo logo spearing through. Inside you can expect more of the same classy, minimalist design seen on the rest of the range.

Thanks to that SPA, it’s pretty easy to speculate on what engines to expect, with 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engines sporting variations of turbocharging and hybridisation to differentiate trim levels, as well as the D4 and D5 diesel engines.

The Volvo V90 will make its debut at the Geneva motor show in March.

The front looks good, but the rear is kinda a combination of volvo+bmw x1, car overall has nice curves. Hope it gets a twinturbo version with 360+ hp for a special version, also change does rims for black bbs wheels

I am quite concerned with the 2.0 though it looks like it makes a lot of power but seems very overstressed and overworked
