That 530i is expensive, For half money I you can buy a good Audi S6 C5
It’s worth 5k at most, my friend got similar one for 5k with 530d including import and registration expenses, it looked as new. And you might get S6 for 5k, but then you will have to spend another 5 for repairs in first year.
Because the Netherlands… Cars are way more expensive because of taxes so secondhand cars remain a bit more expensive too…
Rule#1, Never Flush an autobox as they use chemicals that cause unnecessary wear. Rule#2, only use a rubber once!
“The ECU in the 528i might fail…” Upgrade justified!
“My car might fail” upgrade justified! xD
I need this for future reference in about 10 years..
It will be so worthy no one would want to sell it to you. Robb a bank, and buy it now
Nothing about Vanos system which may be a costly thing to repair, most of face-lift got double Vanos too. Trunk rusts on edges, I also spotted accumulation of water behind fuel inlet cover. Anyway, I bought e39 525I recently and it’s a hell of a car. It’s incredibly comfortable and handles like a dream. It’s not as agile or fast as 3 series but it’s more of a luxury car. And it costed me 1300 GBP to buy car and fix two leaky gaskets (2001 133k miles 525I sedan in my garage).
Haven’t seen the video but I’m guessing “The two electronic components can be fixed easily with a hammer” pro is there.
Am i the only one who thought that the video was in english and spent like 4minutes of the video trying to understand what he was saying until put the legends? Im a idiot
I’d love to own a 525i Touring… but I live in Brazil so no chance… I hate this country -.-
As being an owner of a 528i estate and 2 540s (which I still have) one in each style both with msport I can say most of these problems are common and have happened in some way shape or form. What they for got to say with the v8 is that they don’t like the cold at all. (Minnesota is quite cold) It’s a problem and the new v8 like they put in the 645ci which is now my summer car because of this is just as bad. But over all I love the e39 and it’s such a amazing car that’s going to look great for years to come.

Why does it say ‘’in 14 hours’’?
