Oh no people trying to help other people save money on car repairs by providing free information and possible solutions they can do themselves on social media? Better try to discredit them via sarcasm so I can maintain a steady stream of customers whom I can overcharge for simple or unnecessary repairs.

if I have a problem with my car, it goes to the dealership. I’ll pull the code, if there is one, and ask nicely if they can diagnose and repair. my dealership and I have a good relationship 😏

Would be funny if the majority of normal/traditional mechanics were any good. They are not. I don’t see the problem of trying to fix a car yourself when 8 out of 10 places burn your wallet but your car still runs like crap. I can understand these hacks being pissed off at people trying to help fix each other’s cars, denting their business though.

Every time I’ve took my car to a garage they messed up, they jacked my car of the sill….put a hole in it and decided my bottom arm only needed 1 bolt in out of 3. I have friends who I trust and my self do the work now and everything runs sweet!

He shouldn’t have given them a clutch alignment tool and a hacksaw… ..Should’ve given them a 8 dollar headlight restoration kit

I have a hard time trusting “real mechanics” ever since one of them stripped out my Master cylinder and charged me 180$ for that, plus, wanted to charge me another 160$ for parts and 100$ for labor to order a new one and put it in.

I drove that sucker home with no brakes, got a ride into town, bought a new master cylinder for 60 bucks, put it in myself in about 5 minutes, bled the brakes, and drove it for a year.

Crooked dicks.
