Good News: Quirky Sports Car Maker Wiesmann Isn't Actually Dead
The German sports car manufacturer is applying to overturn insolvency proceedings
After it filed for insolvency last August, we're happy to report that quirky German sports car manufacturer Wiesmann isn't dead just yet. The company has announced that it's applying to overturn insolvency proceedings, which could well be a sign that an investor has been found.
Founded in 1985 by brothers Martin and Friedhelm Wiesmann, the company produced a range of retro-styled sports cars which used BMW running gear. The cars were a little odd but very quick and epically cool, so we hope Wiesmann is successful in making a return.
