With an absence of completely new products to show off at the Geneva Motor Show this year, what on earth is Alfa Romeo going to fill its stand with? New trims levels and special editions is the answer, and lots of them.

At the top of the pile are the two ‘Nürburgring Edition’ cars - the Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio ‘NRing’. 108 of each (because Alfa is 108 years old) will be built to celebrate the Nurburgring lap records bagged by the cars. Both have been treated to an exclusive ‘Circuito Grey’ finish, while in the cabin you’ll find a carbonfibre dash insert and a numbered plaque.

Other additions include standard-fit carbon ceramic brakes, Sparco bucket seats with carbon shells, a new auto shifter knob from Mopar, and an Alcantara-clad steering wheel. The whole shebang is nicely finished off with mirror caps, side skirt inserts and a front badge all made from yet more carbonfibre. Oh, and the Giulia gets a new naked carbonfibre roof. Lovely.

Next up we have the Giulia Veloce Ti or ‘Turismo internazionale’ (below), enhanced by a Racing Red finish, a contrasting black roof, a smattering of carbonfibre bits inside and out, backlit treadplates and fancy Alcantara seats with - you guessed it - more carbon bits. It sits on 19-inch five-spoke wheels, behind which you’ll see some cheeky red brake callipers.

Two versions of the Stelvio Super - a diesel and a petrol - will be on display with a new ‘Performance Pack’, which adds a locking mechanical rear differential and leather dashboard trim. The Giulia Super meanwhile has a new Luxury Pack option, sprucing up the interior with lashings of beige leather and real oak wood.

Finally, we have the 4C coupe Competizione, and the 4C Spider Italia, each limited to - again - 108 units. The Competizione can - and should - be specced in matte Vesuvio Grey finish seen above, along with some natty racing stripes.

The Spider Italia on the other hand is finished in Misano Blue, and along with the Competizione, has been treated to, erm, additional carbonfibre trim. We’re sensing a theme here.

Which of these tweaked Alfas takes your fancy the most?

I read else where the Veloce version will not be a limited edition but sit in the range between the base 147kw 2.0T and the hardcore QV. The Veloce will push out 206kw.
