Forza Horizon 3's Snow Expansion Will Be Here In Two Weeks And It Sounds Awesome
Thanks to a cheeky teaser dropped a few weeks ago, we’ve known that the ladies and gents at Playground Games have been cooking up a snowy expansion pack for Forza Horizon 3. After an announcement today, we know exactly what’ll be in it.
It adds a whole new area “set amidst extreme alpine settings,” promising “snow, ice, extreme elevations”. Can I get a hell yes?
It’ll come with 50 new events including “Hill Climb, Descent and Blizzard” races. The overall goal? To become King of the Mountain.
Special snow tires will be added to the upgrade shop, with the aim of letting you take on a “wide range of thrilling driving surfaces”. What we’re not sure of is whether or not that wide range includes roads that aren’t caked in snow. One of our biggest bugbears about FH3 is the lack of twisty, undulating roads, so it’d be a shame if this new mountain environment was about snowy tomfoolery and nothing else.
Still, snowy tomfoolery does sound fun, and there’ll be a new range of cars to muck about in, which we’ve listed below:

Sound tempting? You’re looking at $34.99 (Ultimate Edition owners get a $10 discount) for a pass which includes this and another as-yet unnamed expansion, although it will be available individually.

Nope, basic game was enough. I prefer paved roads and races and even basic game had more Offroad and others so I don’t need snow. Back to FM6
The sad thing about FH3 is that Microsoft made an incomplete game without all the DLCs, they don’t stop making DLCs. For me, FH3 is the most expensive and the game that has more bugs than any other game i played. Instead taking their time to fix all the bugs the game has, they only care about making money on DLCs, this is my opinion, please don’t get offended by it :|
I have 3 friends that play FH3, everyone stopped playing FH3 because of its bugs, the game crashed too many times a day and that got us mad.

Gonna admit I haven’t actually seen any bugs. However, it is, in my opinion, kinda awful how the expansion pass isn’t included in the ultimate edition. I paid £80 for the Ultimate Edition of Horizon 3, thinking that I had everything included, and then I realised that I didn’t. Same deal as in Forza 6, paid £80 for that, and altogether, including DLCs I paid £110. What I think is even scummier though is the fact that they didn’t unveil the Expansion Pass until after the launch of the game.
However, on a more positive note, I am very excited for this expansion! Snow, some awesome rally cars and loads of new events! Only way they could’ve made it better would be to add the old Fiat 124 Rally Car, but we could get that as an upgrade hero, like how we got the rally mods for some cars in the Storm Island expansion in FH2. Also, isn’t the regular Stratos already in the game?
