Alonso was checked over in the circuit medical centre but escaped the huge crash uninjured.

If it was for the “halo” Alonso wouldn’t be able to get out so easily. He would need to wait for the marshalls or even a crane and it could be too late.

I was there when it happened. I cannot express the fear in all of the people there, we honestly thought that no one could survive that.
Poor Alonso, the size and weight of those eyebrows meant that car was always going to flip.
