While the studio contemplates Fast & Furious 7's future, Universal Pictures has announced that a percentage of profits from the sixth instalment's upcoming home entertainment release will be donated to Reach Out WorldWide, Paul Walker's charity.

The cause was set up by the late star in 2010, following the earthquake in Haiti. The charity is a network of first-responders who assist local rescue teams after a natural disaster.

Donna Langley, Chairman of Universal Pictures, said:

“With the passing of Paul, the world has lost a man who spent a great deal of his life in service to others. We share in the deep grief of his family, friends and the countless fans who love him. We keep Paul’s memory alive and honor his legacy through continued support of Reach Out WorldWide, the non-profit he founded to give hope to those who must rebuild after they have experienced natural disasters.”

Walker passed away last Sunday, when the Porsche Carrera GT he was travelling in crashed. Police are yet to determine the cause, however they have ruled out street racing. Fans and fellow celebrities have flocked to the accident site to pay their respects.

Walker's family have requested that fans who wish to honour his memory should make a donation to Reach Out WorldWide.
