Does The BMW X7 Look Better With A Load Of M Performance Parts?

The styling of BMW’s seven-seater X7 SUV is what you might describe as ‘divisive’. Like a lot of larger modern cars from Bayerische Motoren Werke, its front end is sporting a huge pair of kidney grilles, and understandably, many aren’t keen on the bucktoothed look.

Can it be improved with the help of the BMW M Performance parts catalogue? We’ll let you judge whether or not the additional bits and pieces - which include carbonfibre mirror caps, high-gloss black trim parts and 22-inch forged wheels - do the trick.

For extra shportiness on the inside, there’s the option of a part Alcantara/part leather M Performance steering wheel, complete with a red 12 o’clock mark which doesn’t at all feel out of place in a bit SUV. You can pair these with some M floor mats, if you wish.

Also joining the M Performance parts range is a set of enhancements for the new X5 and X6M. Again, high-gloss black is the theme here, although there is plenty in the way of carbonfibre addendum you can’t get on the X7. For instance, grille surrounds, side skirts, a rear diffuser and a cheeky little carbon boot spoiler for the X6.

The X5 M and X6 M get a different set of 22-inch alloy wheels, behind which you can spec bigger brakes. Want a steering wheel like the optional one available for the X7? Sure thing. If you’d like, it’s possible to have it teamed up with carbonfibre shift paddles.
