Of Course You Want To See A Jeep Trackhawk Race A McLaren 570S
Thanks to the wonders of all-wheel drive traction and a 697bhp Hellcat V8, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is far quicker than any big, heavy SUV has the right to be. In fact, with a 0-60mph time of 3.5 seconds, it’s faster to 60 than a Lexus LFA, the Aston Martin DB11 and even the Dodge Challenger Hellcat it shares an engine with.
The natural thing to do then, is drag race it against supercars for the sake of YouTube lolz, something Hennessey did using its own quarter-mile strip and a McLaren 570S. Judging by the raw figures alone this is a fight the Trackhawk can’t win, and sure enough it doesn’t. But it does give the 570S a bloody nose by getting the jump on mid-engined supercar on both runs.
Seeing that big chunk of ‘Murica bolt off the line from each angle is quite a sight to behold.
Growing up on a diet of World Rally Championship highlights and lengthy Gran Turismo 2 sessions, a life in cars was as good as inevitable for Matt.

Well I new the launch would be better in the trackhawk but i honestly thought it would do slightly better with all the power (yes i know it weighs like a boat)

If only they’d stick about 1100hp in it and then you could destroy everything in a huge SUV! I must imagine that floring it must feel like beeing on a huge battleship propelled fowrward by at least 1000 NASA rockets.
That shows just how much aerodynamics and lightweight are worth
