Can You Work Out How The Hell This Disastrous Car Wash Crash Happened?

CCTV footage shows the moment a driver completely messed up while exiting a car wash, crashing over a drop-off and flipping onto a fire hydrant

A driver in Montana turned the simple act of exiting a car wash into a disastrous crash. The thing is, we can’t work out how they managed it - was it pedal confusion, did they genuinely think they could make the turn using that amount of steering lock, or something else?

We’re pretty baffled, so give us your theories below!

That car wash includes cleaning the underside of your car for free, they just have a very unorthodox way of doing it.

Thanks to the black truck stopping right at the end of the carwash, the next crash will happen in 5…4…3…2…

Wet tires, plus shi**y suspension, FWD layout and very smooth tarmac = catastrophic understeer.

I bet the exit is slick from soapy water, driver gave just a little too much throttle and the car under steered.

Actually I had the impression that he found difficult to start too… Seems the error that would commit a driver that doesn’t know well how to drive manual… Or vice versa (not a manual that doesn’t know how to drive a driver… I mean, a manual driver that doesn’t know how to drive automatic)

Considering the car, they were probably hoping the drop was bigger

Maybe if the car wash had cleaned the underbody then he wouldn’t have had to do that
