This Biker Miraculously Survived A Head-On Collision With A Fire Engine
24-year-old Jesse Lopez was out for a drive in Los Angeles, when he ran wide on a corner and hit a fire truck. Despite suffering multiple broken bones, he lived to tell the tale and share this scary footage
Let this be a lesson to anyone out for a fast drive; when you’re on a two way road, stay on your side. Before the crash occurs at around the 2m 40s mark, biker Jesse Lopez cuts corners and treats the road like a race track. That’s all well and good when you can see what’s coming, but on one blind corner everything starts to go wrong.
After taking the corner a little too fast, a fire truck looms into view, and unable to react in time, Lopez crashes into it head-on. He is thrown from his bike, and suffers “two compound fractures in his left leg and a severely broken arm”, according to ABC7. Fortunately, he lived to tell the tale, saying he uploaded the video so others don’t make the same mistakes he did.
