This 1000bhp V16 Rocket Is The Hot Rod From Hell
This custom-made hot rod is powered by two V8s and is geared for a faintly terrifying 180mph
Remember the twin-V8-powered Mazda MX-5 that pulls motorhomes in its spare time? That 600bhp roadster is small-fry compared to this V16 custom hot rod. It's a whole 1000bhp of fun!
Built by US tuners Sire Custom Performance, this go-kart-meets-batmobile uses two Chevrolet V8s joined at the crank which develops a joint 900bhp at the rear wheels. The whole car only weighs 1050kg (the same as a Renaultsport Twingo, but with Bugatti Veyron power) and hits 60mph in sub-3 seconds. It'll run the quarter-mile in the mid-9s, and is geared for a faintly terrifying 180mph flat out. We'll take two of these, thanks!
