Growing up on a diet of World Rally Championship highlights and lengthy Gran Turismo 2 sessions, a life in cars was as good as inevitable for Matt.

1979 Ford Fairmont. Inline 6 cylinder engine pumping out a massive 90hp to the rear wheels.
1.8L 2ZR-FXE(Prius) 99HP
The original viper. Sure it made 400hp but from 8 litres? That’s a specific output of 50hp per litre.
2010 crown Victoria had a 4.6 v8 producing just 224 hp. There were many smaller 4 and 6 cylinders producing equivialent or more power at the time. My sisters 2011 RAV4 v6 sport has 270 from a 3.5.
Civic is the answer!
1998 Ford Explorer 4.0 L v6 with a massive 160 hp even with over head cams. But it does make 225 tq. But still there’s N/A 2.0 L engines from that era making a lot more hp
Anyone else think that the third gen Camaro 350 ( 5.7?) had way too little power?
All the c3 vettes with the 350 pushing 170/180
mk3 2.0 8v VW GTI… was badged as a GTI and only makes 114hp at the CRANK. the most base of golfs in the US received the same engine. I own a mk3 GTI and it is incredibly slow but it is very good on gas
The 1976 Cadillac 500ci v8 that’s 8.2L and it kicks out 190Hp and 360 lb·ft Or the Oldsmobile LF7 It was a 4.3L V8 that made 90bhp and 160 Lf-ft
