As a petrolhead i've never understood the differences between 180sx 200sx and 240sx i mean they look almost the same... and sometimes when i search on google 180sx i get an s13 silvia ... or 200sx i get an s14. Can anyone help me with that dilemma?:D

180SX—-> Japan and only some other countries got them. It’s the hatchback variant of the S13 platform, it is NOT a Silvia, it’s similar. Available engines were the CA18DET, SR20DE, and the SR20DET.

200SX—-> European model basically the same as the 180SX just with a different name. Only the CA18DET was offered.

NOTE: In the U.S. the Silvia S12 is called a 200SX but that’s a different story…

240SX—-> U.S. spec of the 180SX, available engines were the KA24E and the KA24DE… basically we got the sh!tty versions of this car…

Carlos got it! SR20DET is by far the besst of those engines, the CA18DET is okay but tends to break quite a bit.

KA24’s are good for drifting and it’s nice to see some people use them, but I wish we got the SR20DET…

CA18DET is a good engine if you have an external oil cooler sinse it tends to overheat the oil and break almost the whole engine :(
