Importing cars to Iceland is super expensive (25% tax + up to 65% toll depending on emission), so cars can more than double in price

that’s the standard here in brazil, 90 to 110% of the car price, and you can only import if it’s older than 30 years or brand new.

In Indonesia, you can do anything you want with your car :D but the goverment tax is to damn expensive here . if you import a brand new supercar/sport car, the tax will cost at least 2-3 times of car price.

The stupid inport tax which follows the market price. For example, I can import a car (no matter it is second-hand or factory new) from Japan for an extremely low price (it can be as low as around $3000euros for an RX7), but the second-hand market of an RX7 is around $10000euros. Then I have to pay $7000 euros tax. It is set up in recent years because the importers imports and sells cars in a much lower price than the local dealership and the local dealerships request the government to raise the import tax. Now we have to deal with this kind of stupidity.

Some idiot in Quebec thought it was a good idea to change the 15 year old import ban to 25… Yup, it killed 90% of the rhd scene!

In cyprus.. If i import a vehicle now im it’s tax is calculated by it’s co2. This means if try to import something like a 1.8t. i would end up paying up to 800+ a year on road tax… I can’t import anything besides eco cars..!
