1998 Acura Integra DB8

Proud second owner of this car since May 2009. Her name is Charlotte. She’s a true GSR sedan. I’ve put this car through its own personal hell I feel, and she’s never let me down.

Modifications are nothing special, due to an engine rebuild a month after I bought it, and a JDM GSR swap two years after that due to my own stupidity that I’ve been learning from ever since. Those sucked up a good amount of money.

Currently, the car is sitting on OEM Type-R suspension with ~80K miles on the shocks and springs. The car itself currently has over 207,000 miles. Wheels are Kosei K1-TS’s wrapped in 205-50 15 Dunlop Z2 Star Specs. The RTA bushings were also replaced with Hardrace ones.

There are no engine modifications, however, there is a DIY icebox similar to the Comptech system released many years ago. I’ve also installed a PLM Toda Replica exhaust manifold, KTeller 2.5” stainless exhaust, a 22” stainless Magnaflow resonator, and a no name stainless twin loop muffler. Said muffler will be swapped out soon due to poor construction causing a hole to form where a hanger was welded on.

Interior mods are mostly cosmetic. A Type-R cluster, clock, and climate control decorate the dashboard. The only functional piece is a Fastline Performance Shifter that I am quite fond of.

For those curious about the passenger side doors, they are from my friend’s race car that was unfortunately totaled during NSXPO 2013. He loved his car dearly, having owned and modified it for over a decade. I purchased the passenger doors, which miraculously survived the crash, and replaced my rusty ones with them, preserving the legacy and also promoting his company, Automotive Specialty Tool.Net.

I am currently building the third and hopefully final engine for many years to come. I’ll get more into the details when the work commences later next year. The video below is footage from my track day at Road America during ITR Expo 2014. The suspension then was original with 190,000 miles on it, and the RTA bushings and exhaust manifold were also original.
