The Lagonda All-Terrain Concept Will Be An Electric Cullinan Antidote
Having made a surprise return to the world stage at the Geneva Motor Show last year, Lagonda will be back at the 2019 running of the event. The Aston Martin spin-off won’t be showcasing anything quite as future-focused as last year’s Vision Concept, however - the car on display will be providing a “first glimpse” of the brand’s first production car.
Aston Martin isn’t saying a whole lot about it right now, but judging by the teaser image and the name ‘Lagonda All Terrain’, the concept is quite clearly an SUV. An SUV which is no doubt taking aim at the Rolls-Royce Cullinan once it reaches showrooms.
Unlike Rolls’ vast, go-anywhere luxury vehicle, however, the All Terrain isn’t powered by a big V12. Instead, it’ll be all-electric, as will be all future vehicles produced under the Lagonda name.
But don’t worry, there will still be plenty of more traditional products on the Aston Martin stand. The Lagonda All Terrain will be joined by examples of the DB11 AMR, DBS Superleggera, and Vantage, with the latter two having received a thorough transformation from the Q by Aston Martin personalisation service.
Expect lots of carbon fibre details and exquisite leatherwork.

Cool that they brought back a legendary name but an all electric SUV? That’s not very Aston Martin
I think that since it’s a spinoff it suits good because it’s the complete opposite of Aston Martin
It’s not an Aston Martin.
Lagonda is a whole different brand that’s about pure luxury, therefore it makes sense that they would do an all electric vehicle. EVs are much more refined than even the smoothest of petrol cars and they’ll probably put so much sound deadening in that it’ll be as quiet as a whisper inside.

EV’s are actually much easier to waterproof than petrol cars. (No intake or exhaust, less heat)
I like the idea of this. Lagonda is about pure luxury. EVs are great for that and current market favors SUVs

Tbh, I was a little doubtful about this, but then if you think about it, the OG Lagonda from the 70s was also similarly different in terms of body style. Cause back then, sports Sedans were unheard of, and So I guess it makes sense
To be honeat, the amount of hybrid/electric SUVs is extremely small. You’ve got the Model X and… Not much else.
