An E63 M6 for my #dreambuild

2008 White M6

First, we start with a bone stock, post 2007 BMW E63 M6 SMG-III. Preferably a white exterior and red leather interior with carbon trim finish… some bronze deep dish rims wouldn’t hurt.

Now comes the abundance of modifications to accent the character that the car has naturally. Let’s face it, the V10 is a monster, and the body is a little too innocent and lacks some aggressiveness, as well as having a little bit too boaty handling for a true b-road warrior. To fix the handling toward what my idea of the best all round set up for what will hopefully be my daily (I take a liking to tougher suspension), a set of KW variant 3 adjustable coilovers will give me total control (https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-11651-e63-e64-m6-kw-coilover-kit-v3-variant-3/). Next, a set of wheels needs to be picked and powder coated in a burnt copper finish to accent the white. I feel that the OZ Superleggera III forged wheels provide a perfect mix of durability, performance, and style.

The rubber for this build may be a little extreme, so a set of winter wheels and tires would be required. In the front, a set of 265/35-r19 michelin pilot sport cup 2 tires, and a pair of 305/30-r19’s for the back. Finally, Dinan’s front roll control system coupled with a 21mm Dinan anti-roll bar would keep the car flat mid-corner.

Now for the power upgrades. First, the magnificent V10 lump under the “hood” would be brought to a more vital life with a set of Schrick high lift camshafts and a set of Carrillo forged rods and pistons will prep the car for the automotive holy grail… boost. This boost would come in the form of a Gintani stage 2 centrifugal supercharger kit. This alone would boost power to nearly 700hp when the cams are taken into account. Agency power catless headers, a supersprint resonator delete pipe, and Eisenmann mufflers would deliver the V10’s scream in the most dramatic way. The increased power output would be delivered to the wheels with a twin-disk performance clutch mixed with a re-mapped aggressive transmission software for the SMG.

Now that handling and power are taken care of, the M6 need some stopping power to match. This would come in the form of a Brembo 6 pot front and 4 pot rear slotted big brake kit. After the brakes are up to spec, the car handles, plows, and stops with ease. Sadly, the E63 hasn’t yet the bodywork to match its capabilities. Vorsteiner comes to the rescue with carbon fiber front and rear lips to add some aggressiveness to the body-lines, along with a vented carbon fiber hood that will be painted to match the body (maybe a little showing carbon around the vents).

Finally, an Autocarbon alcantara and carbon fiber steering wheel gives the handling a meatier feel and a little bit more x-factor.

This car is my dream daily and balances the because racecar mindset with a true luxury cruiser, even if there are a few compromises. All in all, a modded 700bhp V10 M6 sounds just about perfect, no?

Guess you’re keeping the secondary cats in the stock section 1 of the exhaust?

Also, if it’s a dream build, don’t cheap out on Agency Power headers, Evolve or the new Infinity Design stuff is the way to go :)

Haha, this is more realistic dreaming… 9k for a set seems a little far. And i may keep section 1 cats purely for emissions, but who know, i may cut them out for flames

Love it! I need to make a post like this, when I get older there is something I want to build very badly
