Are you a Ferrari Enzo owner who wishes you could have the benefits of modern tyre technology without compromising on the early-’00s look of the rubber? Well, today is your lucky day.

22 years on from the Enzo’s introduction to this world (yes, you’re that old now), the Italian tyre manufacturer has introduced a new P Zero Corsa system tyre which uses up-to-date materials and production processes but with a more period-correct look.

Of course, the Enzo didn’t originally launch on Pirelli tyres – coming instead from the factory with Bridgestone Potenza Scuderia RE050A rubber – so it won’t exactly match the OEM look but the new P Zeros have been developed especially for the hypercar. They’re identical in size to the Potenzas as well, measuring 245/35 R19 on the front axle and 345/35 R19 on the rear.

What exactly will your new-found tyres bring? According to Pirelli, the tread design should reduce the chances of aquaplaning while also offering more stability at speeds thanks to an improved compound.

It isn’t just the Ferrari Enzo that’s being offered fresh Pirellis, with the F40 also gaining a new P Zero – having originally left the factory on them. The twin-turbo ‘80s pin-up gets the benefit of period-correct Pirelli branding on the sidewall, too. Pirelli continues to offer a set for the F50 as well.

We have no idea how much the new Enzo- and F40-specific tyres will cost, but we presume ‘a lot’. A quick search online tells us a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S for the Enzo would set you back about £220 a corner.

Presumably, a bespoke new tyre would add a bit more to that. However, considering used Enzo prices appear to be floating around £3m-4m at the time of writing, we suspect that won’t be too much of an issue for owners.
