Ford GT crackles all the way to a record-breaking 278mph at the Texas Mile
This footage may be short, but it's oh so sweet. Modified to put out around 2000 horsepower the Ford GT in the video below demolishes the Texas Mile at Beeville.
As it snaps, crackles and pops its way up the runway, disappearing into the heat haze, the camera flicks to the speed indicator in anticipation: 278.2mph. A new Texas Mile Beeville record.
