Which Mercedes C63 Sounds Best: 6.2 Or 4.0?

Wow… the steeringwheel got very ugly in the new car, in fact I think it looks like it’s pregnant out of all things as it’s so round and baloony looking compared to the older one.But I have to say that the new 4.0 sound much more powerful than the 6.2 when standing still and revving.

6.2 for days. Can’t beat that whip-crack exhaust!

There is no way to have an exhaust *sound great when you’re robbing it of the very thing that makes that possible. I find this whole turbo revolution pathetic.

What us with that disgustingly bloated steering wheel on the new one?

Anyway 6.3 ftw always. Sounds rough and raspy just like a proper c63 should :) new one is too conservative

I had a chance to hear them both in reality some time ago and how brutal the 6.2 is, so sporty the 4.0 sounds. I think that any aftermarket exhausts can make it more fierce and menacing just like it does with Audi’s 4.0, so I would go with the newer one.
