Watch The New RWD Honda NSX GT3 Race Car Receive A Thorough Track Spanking
The new NSX GT3 car is seen (and heard!) undergoing testing in glorious naked carbonfibre form, ahead of its assault on the 2017 motorsport season
Due to FIA GT3 regulations, the racing version of the new NSX is rear-wheel drive as opposed to all-wheel drive, having lost the road-going car’s hybrid system and trio of electric motors.
However, what it loses in hybrid power it gains in carbonfibre bodywork, seen here and in recent official images without any paintwork getting in the way of the glorious weave.
It also has a huge rear wing, an underbody diffuser and larger vents to cool the turbocharged V6 engine, which sends its power to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential gearbox.

I’ll leave this here.
The 90’s crazy car competition is slowly coming back and i’m so freaking hyped :D
All we need now is a rotary powered coupe from Mazda, a performance car from Mitsubishi, and a supra
cant wait for the mk5 supra
Again GTA did it first.
Nah, the HSV did it first.
YOU NEED MORE POWER
They were testing on Road America
Why couldn’t this be the road-going NSX as well? The phrase “Simple and Fun” is lost among all the techno-wizardry these days… Though, kudos to Porsche for figuring that out; that by stripping more stuff off the car, they can charge you more cough911R. Ironic, no?
